Non NHS Services

Most of the services offered by the Practice are free under the NHS. Some services, however, are not covered under the contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. The fees reflect both the doctor’s time to carry out the service, the doctor’s professional opinion and the time taken to write a report where applicable. It may also include the cost of, secretarial support, stationery and consumables.

Examples include the following:

• Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV) etc.
• Insurance Claim forms
• Letters for taking medication abroad
• Private sick notes
• Vaccination certificates

The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales. Please speak to our reception team in the practice who will be able to provide a fee list for you.
